BRIEF

Irene Pereyra, designer and founder at Anton & Irene gave a task to create a solution for the Lonely Planet for Gen Z backpackers and millennial travelers to make traveling easier for them. In the beginning we needed to gather informations and insights about backpackers and below are some of the informations we found

THE ASK

Bring travelers together with other travelers, locals, the place, and the journey and make Lonely Planet a part of their conversation.

Revenge Travel

A global phenomenon of people booking big trips to ‘take revenge’ against the pandemic. It could be to make up for lost time, to take that long-postponed trip, or to treat oneself after such a long period of lockdown and nearly two thirds of Gen Z are doing revenge travel.

of gen z travelers main concern while traveling solo is loneliness, they want to reconnect with people and to have fun and unique experiences after being isolated for such a long time.

ECOSYSTEM ANALYSIS

An eco-system analysis is a diagram that visualizes the company's digital properties, the connections between them, and their purpose in the overall marketing strategy. Our team divided the ecosystem into three sections of traveling and put gen z travelers at the center. We focused on the 'during' stage of travel since all the existing products are focused on connecting online, thos travellers don’t have a way to connect in person.

COMPETITOR ANALYSIS

Competitor analysis is the strategic research of our competitors to study their strengths and weaknesses. By taking the time to analyze our current and potential competitors, we can identify areas for improvement. We can understand the market trends & make sure that we are consistently meeting and even exceeding industry standards.

USER INTERVIEWS

At this phase, we came up with interview questions to ask young travelers and backpackers around the city to understand how they travel, what things they prefer or recommend , the challenges they face an how to make their traveling better and easier.

USER PERSONAS

Our team has meticulously crafted user personas to guide our design process and ensure that our product caters to the diverse needs and preferences of our target audience. These user personas are detailed and well-researched representations of our potential users. By creating these personas, we gained a deeper understanding of the diverse range of individuals who may interact with our design.

Provide young travelers with a way to spontaneously connect in person while on their journey.

A sitemap is a schematic that represents the navigation and structure of a website or app. It shows how the navigation will be structured and the relationships between pages or screens.
